Deep Green: building the evidence at Urmston
Deep Green’s Urmston data centre is rolling out the Clear Decisions dashboard, beginning with validation of its efficiency metrics against pilot telemetry from the facility. The dashboard does two separate things.
EU Taxonomy alignment. Clear Decisions collates the data, adds the evidence, and is designed to produce the audit-ready reporting that an EU Taxonomy assessment requires. For data processing and hosting, alignment rests on efficiency practices and renewable energy supply.
Heat reuse. DG01 donates heat to Move Urmston Leisure Centre. The dashboard shows the energy reuse factor, the heat delivered, and the emissions displaced compared with heating the centre by gas boiler. Deep Green will be able to report the avoided emissions its waste heat enables — a contributed-avoided-emissions (“Scope 4”) figure, reported separately from its own Scopes 1–3 — alongside the energy-cost saving the heat delivers for the centre.
